<meta>’s ability to refresh the page on a configurable basis (using query parameters to adjust the rate). It’s super hacky but it’d give me a way to do some “live posting” and keep it all organized.
Plan of Approach
- Create an event page called “Event”.
- Create another entry that tags “Event” (essentially a mention).
- My site’ll note that if any of the mentions were sent during the run-time of the event by me, then I should display it as a “live reply” and consider marking it up differently.
There’s some work that can be done here to improve the UX and the presentation. Also the act of constantly (manually?) mentioning the event could be tedious so I might want to have a special editor for this case. I’ll have the resources to experiment with this soon!
