Nah. Facebook’s Yarn works as a client to the NPM registry with a different take on how to obtain those packages. This is a WHOLE different registry that’s now also using the NPM registry as a place to fetch them from.
Note that publishing a package to Yarn is just a proxy to publish it to NPM solely. GitHub Package Registry can possibly do that and cache it on GitHub’s registry: https://yarnpkg.com/lang/en/docs/publishing-a-package/
